Basis install and authorization
A customer/Basis-facing guide for preparing Windows and SAP access.
Agent and SAP access
Use this before a first run with the customer’s IT team. It explains what S4Ready needs without turning the consultant guide into an authorization manual.
Prepare the Windows runtime
The Agent is lightweight, but SAP RFC runtime files are customer-provided.
- Run on Windows 10/11 64-bit with Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime.
- Provide SAP NetWeaver RFC SDK 7.50 64-bit DLLs in a supported search location.
- Use SAP Logon landscape environment variables when systems are stored on a central share.
Grant read-only SAP access
Avoid mid-run failures by granting metadata and selected domain table access up front.
- Grant S_RFC execute access for connection tests and table-read RFC functions.
- Grant S_TABU_DIS or S_TABU_NAM display access for DDIC metadata and selected domain tables.
- Use SU53, ST22, and SM21 to diagnose authorization errors, dumps, and connection resets.
