S4Ready Agent quickstart
A practical desktop Agent walkthrough for the person running the extraction.
Agent and SAP access
Use this at the keyboard during extraction. It keeps the main path visible and leaves installation, SAP authorizations, and support codes to the specialist guides.
Connect the Agent
Get the desktop app pointed at the right web workspace and SAP system.
- Use Cloud Link to authorize the device against Hosted Demo or a customer-managed backend.
- Open the target Project and Stage so uploads carry explicit web IDs.
- Choose a SAP Logon entry or enter host, system number, client, user, and password, then test ECC.
Choose run mode
The run mode determines what lands in the bundle and what the web app can refine later.
- Use ECC Only when target S/4HANA access is not available yet.
- Use ECC + S/4HANA when both source data and target reference data are reachable.
- Use S/4HANA Only or Sync Target Reference Data when ECC data already exists and only target reference data needs refresh.
Upload and continue
Treat upload confirmation as the handoff into the web review workflow.
- Watch upload, domain detection, dataset creation, and confirmation states.
- Upload partial data only when early review is useful; otherwise use Re-run failed first.
- Use Open in S4Ready Web to continue with cleansing, mapping, validation, and export.
